DSA, SPUSA, American Socialist Party??? WHICH ONE??

I'll admit that I'm fairly new to the concept of Socialism. I have been reading tons of recommended books and I feel I am nearing a firm understanding on the subject. My synthesis is naturally going to be different than others but we do have a common goal... So why all the different Socialist Party's out there? One hears the words "Solidarity" and "Unity" thrown around a lot these days but c'mon!!! Why so many different party's when there is at the least.. ONE common goal right!?!?!?

There is not any favoritism here and anyone making a statement can openly and freely defend their rights without fear of being expelled or banned by other internal cliques or factional infighting. ASP does not directly get involved, but helps provide a service that other smaller groups will not and refuse to provide. You and others are free to explore options on the ASP websites and get out of this what is put into it i.e. if you wish to create a socialist local and have meetings, post events, have live chat, etc. all those things are right here at your finger tips without some small minded Admin who is a member on another faction banning and deleting your work or expelling you from meetings. ASP provides the individual socialist complete autonomy.
